Day 2 – Tokyo Disneyland, Japan 12.05.2008

After having a very good sleep from the night before, I managed to wake up quite early to prepare for a great adventure ahead of us. We had breakfast in the hotel and it was surprisingly quite yummy. The french toast was world class and they had quite a good spread. They served us both american breakfast and japanese breakfast.

We realized that the waiters and waitresses do not clear the tables until you are done and are leaving the restaurant. It was quite funny when us typical singaporeans were piling our plates and having many rounds as compared to a normal japanese where they only took a tray full of food and thats it.

We had a shuttle bus which brought us from Hotel Emion Tokyo Bay to Disneyland it self. So we caught the shuttle bus and were on out way!

This is a picture of our bus. (The picture was taken the night before we left for Singapore)

The driver was very nice and accomodating he even offered to let us sit in his seat!

When we arrived disneyland the weather was very good but we missed the welcome parade where the characters come out to greet the guests.

After the parade ended we headed to tomorrow land..

Look at the little green man they are so cute! Just look at Trista in the picture!

Since the waiting time for ‘Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters’ ride was very long we decided to take the fast pass and come back for it later.

The ride was so much fun and i scored about 16000 points! Haha im quite a good shooter but nothing compared to Tristan! He did so well!

Trisha then wanted to head for ‘Space Mountain’. And the excited me did not know what i was getting myself into! IT WAS A ROLLERCOASTER IN THE DARK! I was so freaked out and kept screaming while i was on the ride. But i had to say that it was a trilling experience and something different from all the normal rollercoaster rides!

After we finished in tomorrow land we headed to Toontown and we visited Chip ‘n’ Dales house it was not very fun as all we did was to climb up the tree house! So we decided to pose instead =D

After the visit to the tree house we went to watch a show entitle ‘One Man’s Dream’ it is about Walt Disney and how he created mickey mouse and his drawings from black and white to all the beautiful colors!

Here are some pictures of the show!

Ok enough of uploading pictures I will continue another time =D

Singapore to Japan 10.05.2008

Time passes so fast. It seems like just yesterday when i left for Tokyo.

Wei Meng sent me to the airport and we took train there!

Since we had alittle time on our hands we decided to have a walk around Terminal 3 to see what its like.

Unfortunately, I found that the place does not give you that warm feeling when you enter and the check in counters were hardly used at all. I guess it is because it is new. But at this point of time, I feel like I prefer Terminal 1 so much more!

We headed to the viewing gallery which was packed with Singaporeans. As it was getting dark, it was hard to see the planes outside.

We had dinner at Popeyes where they serve fried chicken similar to KFC and we found that it was a totally disappointment except for the fries which was good!

Met up with my uncle and family at the check in counter and we proceeded with the check in and through the departure gates. It was quite crowded at the customs but we managed to clear in about 15 mins.

We boarded the flight (JL711) which took off at about 11pm Singapore time. We were served with a muffin and some rice crips on the flight for night snack and tried to sleep at about 1+am Singapore time. After a little nap, we were woken up at around 3.30 Singapore Time for breakfast as we were landing at about 6.10am Japan time! Can you imagine how exhausting it was! We hardly managed to have any rest!

Upon touch down and clearing customs, we headed out to meet our airport transfer driver and he was  such a sweet man. Helped us with our baggage and tried to make conversation with us. The weather was pretty cold as compared to Singapore weather. If i am not wrong it was about 15 deg.

Ok! I’ll blog more about the next few days soon!

What if….

You are happily walking down the road and you see these 3 block of ice cubes standing happily on the side on the road? With a very near by coffee shop right next to it?

Would you still walk into the coffee shop and have a drink with ice or perhaps a bowl of ice desert?

Well i wouldnt!

The first thoughts that came to my mind were, what if it was used in the coffee shop and the ice im using is from the one on the floor?

So after about 8 days in the office with just Dora and me having our meals on our desks we finally managed to take a walk during lunch! Dora suggested going to a place at Craig Road (near Duxton Hill) to check out a shop selling Pasta! Disappointing! Hardly anything at all! And we walked towards Tanjong Pagar market where we saw the above and also walked passed the famous muffin shop Chocolat N’ Spice. We just had to buy a few for our afternoon snack! So i got myself 4 muffins (Double Chocolate and Chocolate Chip) to bring home for my brother and mum! Its a tiny weeny shop with loads of staff inside and ovens baking non-stop! Just imagine how good their business is?
