Handmade sweets

While I was waiting for WM today I decided to walk around central again and I walked straight to STICKY! Well sticky sells traditional handmade candy and I’ve always loved their sweets. I tried them once but i found that the watermelon was over powering but the passionfruit was good!

When I was walking towards the store, I was quite shocked to see why there were so many peopl crowding around and being the kaypo me I decided to take a peep to and realized that they were making the sweets there!!

It seriously took them so much effort to make these they were perspiring! But it is totally worth the taste =)

From these huge gooey sticky stuff to pretty cute sweets!

I found it alittle pricey though for 150g it costs $8.90 ??

What more can you ask?

When you have such a wonderful day like this.

Why was it a wonderful day you may be wondering!

First of all before I went to sleep early this morning, I saw a sweet msg on my phone which was amazingly very reassuring at that time and I had to say I fell asleep with a huge smile on my face!

The first voice to hear on the other end of the phone was your sleepy voice. Hoping that I would be able to get you out of bed in time for our law lecture.

It worked!

Outram Park Station, Four Leaves, Teh Terik and then to School.

Lecture was slightly more enjoyable when you were on the left  and of course Jael was on my right (Now you are included Jael! Its nice sitting with you in class. Thank you for always being so sweet =) !). Too bad I left my double decker under the table in class! =(

Lunch was good with my bunch of classmates though I dont know some of them really well. The noodles was good but nothing beats TAI HWA PORK NOODLES! Lets go queue again!

Crashed my tutorial and drew a rather cutesy picture! It now looks like some beehiveturbanmrsunshineoctopus man.

Dinner together at POPEYES was yummy!

Had a good laugh watching LOL with Selena Tan at SMU, Tau Huay and Home!

Its the simple things in life, the smallest action that makes everything fun and exciting. Its how you treasure and enjoy every moment of it!

A day out with the girls

Last week had a day out with the girls from school and Jael suggested on trying Sun and Moon located at Wheelock place.

I cant remember the name of this but it was really good! There was one topped with avocado which i prefered and the other was mango!

This was my salmon rice. Its interesting the way the had the hour glass for you to time your food before you eat it!

And this tofu cheesecake was seriously to die for. Its really really good!

They were like playing ‘don’t be the one who take the last piece of the cake’.

Just look at Jael having fun.

See how they were like scraping bits and pieces from that plate when there is another piece of Chocolate cake next to them which they kinda ignored? Haha.. so thats how good it was =)

I had a lovely day with them and look forward to more coming our way!

Next would be 126? ;)

Taxi..

Have you ever sometimes felt so tired from a full day of work or school and just thought that it would be better to take a taxi rather then take either a bus or mrt to squeeze with the crowd and deal with the noise?

A taxi can be comfortable when you have clean seats, soft music so you can relax till you get to your next destination where you would have to get off and face the world again! (work or school)

For the price which you pay, dont you think you ought to get something good from the ride?

I had an experience on Monday after school when I went to palais and then took a cab back to club street to continue work till 7. I was feeling very tired as i had a tiring day in school and then I still had to face work till the evening. I just wanted to sit and have some peace and time to relax. But I felt irriated instead after the cab ride.

The cab driver was practically screaming into his earpiece while he was driving talking about random stuff in hokkien and occasionally chinese throughout the entire journey from orchard road to club street. If you were to talk softly it wouldnt matter much but he was practically screaming! I cant stand it when these cab drivers talk throughout the journey, it is as if you are paying them to talk! Shouldnt they be focusing on their work (driving) and to be alert at all times?

If it is your break, then you can shout, sing or dance anytime and no one will bother. But please, i dont think its nice to do it infront of your customers!

F1 = Inconvenience

I faced it this morning and I feel very annoyed.

What does F1 bring us? I personally feel nothing but inconvenience. Can you imagine closing such a heavy used area for about a week  or so?

I was stuck in the traffic jam from my home and  on nicoll highway from 8.55 till about 10.45 where i reached  city hall mrt which would usually take me only about 10 minutes. The jam was ridiculous. The bus hardly moved at all.

You might say it also happened when the nicoll highway collapsed. Yes it was inconvenient then, but it was unaviodable as it was not planned. But this was intentionally planned and i have to say that it is casuing inconvenience to most Singaporeans!

I feel very annoyed and would have to plan to get up even earlier and to get alternative routes so that I will not be late for school.

I hope this nightmare ends soon!

Day 4 – Tokyo Disneyland, Japan 14.05.2008

We went back on the 4th day to Disneyland and this time we managed to catch the parade and visit the other towns! So much fun!

Minnie Mouse!!! This is the only picture i managed to get of her because she ran away the minute she was done with the autograph for Trisha! She was in hurry to get ready for the parade!

Running away for their parade!

And the parade begins!

People were going crazy over the churros but when we bought ours it sucked real bad!

The dinner show.

Our main course. It tasted quite good!

The dessert was super shiok!!

And we went crazy at the disney store!!

Time to SHOP!

Day 3 – Tokyo Disneysea, Japan 13.05.2008

Its been almost 3 months since the trip and I have not had the time to blog about the trips.

So here is Day 3, we visited Disneysea but it was raining cats and dogs and it was freezing!! I had to wear like 1 long sleeve, 2 thick jackets, one wind breaker, 1 pants and another jeans on top and i was still so cold =(

Such beautiful flowers isnt it? From far it looked so real. But infact it is fake!

We managed to only catch the ending of the greeting parade.

We went to take the rides for kids.

This is Aladin’s double storey carousel! Loved it! My uncle has more pictures of us on the carousel but i havent got the pictures from him.

We took this submarine ride which makes you believer that you are really in a submarine. It was so real the sounds and the water. But in actual fact we are not in the water, it is just the glass and the speakers that made it feel so real!

The parade was a disappointment as it was really cold and the wind was so strong. First we had to suffer in the cold and then the show was cut short due to the weather.
